Silico® LV-A Low Viscosity A 5 – 20 cst PDMS

The Silico® LV-A Low Viscosity A  Series PDMS consists of high-purity polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) silicone oils offered in a range of low to moderate viscosities to meet diverse formulation requirements.

Introduction

Silico® LV-A Low Viscosity Series is composed of high-purity polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) fluids, designed to meet the demanding performance standards of modern personal care and cosmetic formulations. This series includes three grades of low-viscosity silicone oils—5 cSt, 10 cSt, and 20 cSt—offering excellent flexibility in formulation development.

With outstanding spreading ability, thermal stability, and skin compatibility, Silico® LV-A silicones are ideal for a wide range of applications, including skincare, haircare, color cosmetics, and sunscreen products. Their lightweight texture and non-greasy finish make them a preferred choice for enhancing product aesthetics and feel.

Whether you’re creating serums, lotions, sprays, or leave-on treatments, the LV-A series delivers the performance, purity, and consistency needed for high-quality personal care products.

Performance Characteristics

Excellent Thermal & Oxidative Stability

Silico® MF2010-5 Silicone Fluid maintains stable viscosity and performance over a wide temperature range. It resists thermal degradation and oxidation, making it suitable for both high-temperature and low-temperature applications.

Low Surface Tension & Superior Wetting

The naturally low surface tension of PDMS allows for excellent wetting, spreading, and leveling on a variety of substrates, including plastics, elastomers, and metals.

Chemically Inert & Non-Reactive

This silicone fluid is compatible with most materials and formulations. It does not easily react with chemicals, polymers, or active ingredients, ensuring formulation stability and long service life.

Clear, Odorless & Non-Staining

The fluid is optically clear and non-yellowing, making it ideal for applications where appearance, cleanliness, and sensory performance are critical.
